Description: A prescribed burn took place on Thursday, April 5 along the Kalamazoo River in an area known as the Pottowatomi Marsh. Orchestrated by Plantwise LLC from Ann Arbor and contracted by the Outdoor Discovery Center in Holland and the Pottowatomi Club in Saugatuck, this burn is one of many steps being taken to reduce non-native species and restore a healthy ecosystem.
